Dubai based celebrity barber Rabi Sfaxi carefully takes his time to meticulously make the most of every moment with every motion of his clippers. He did the same for the Moroccan football team since he was invited to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup to trim the likes of the biggest football players including Hakim Ziyech, Zakaria Aboukhal, Achraf Hakimi, Sofyan Ambrabat, and Abdelhamid Sabiri, just to name a few.
That’s probably why so many other footballer and celebrities in Dubai choose him.
“The process is the process but when he’s looking in the mirror and he’s ‘yeah,’ you know? That’s everything to me,” Hakim Ziyech said. “That just made my day.”
For the past few years, Rabi has been working for ‘Beats & Cuts’ salon in Dubai, cutting and styling hair for his customers, working his way up from his own family members, friends, walk-in customers, celebs, to now practically the entire Moroccan football team.
“I love my profession,” Rabi said.
Rabi fills a big brother role for some of the players. He has been able to form a bond so tight that he won’t reveal anything of what he and his clients talk about while they’re in the chair.
Rabi Sfaxi has left his footprint in the Moroccan community, and he hopes his blades will continue to empower even more athletes.
“They’re doing more for me than I’m doing for them,” Rabi added. “They’re making me feel good and they’re making my day better by appreciating what I put out.”
